About Mettu University

Mettu University is one of the third-generation government Universities in Ethiopia, which is established in 2011 with ever green vicinity endowed with untapped natural resources. Currently the university is enrolling more than 22,000 students in different disciplines. The University has 54 undergraduate and 31 graduate programs through diversified modalities. The academic programs are running under seven colleges and three schools namely: College of Engineering and Technology, Natural and Computational Sciences, Public Health and Medical Sciences, Social Science and Humanities, Business and Economics, Education and Professional Sciences, Agriculture and Forestry, School of Commerce, School of Law and School of school of Agriculture and Natural Resource. Parallel with learning- teaching, the university has been conducting researches targeting to solve societal problems based on already identified thematic areas.
